I think the part of the documentary that was chilling was how much emphasis there was on training the girls about modesty and about how they were the reason boys/men might stray... the Church kind of fell into that in the past. The whole Eve’s sin, etc. I’m glad the Church isn’t like that anymore.
Yeah, there is really no comparison in terms of theology - the Church has such a rich and deep and wide theology that can be approached from literally thousands of perspectives and points in history and still hold firm. That said, it has for sure developed/changed over the years and it's always healthy to keep that in mind and be willing to question and reexamine things when prompted!
