I think November is my favourite month of the year: the back-and-forth of warm-then-cold-then-warm-again weather transitions to a more decisive chill, the anticipation of the festive season feels exciting but not yet overwhelming, and it’s my birthday month.
I’m always so happy when your name pops up in my inbox! Three cheers for finding what works for you, a lesson I’ve likewise had to learn many times. Happy birthday month!!
It's funny, because in Canada, I've never heard of the Scots legend, but we have a similar one for Inuit (though it's only 50 words, rather than 421). I think it's likely closer to being true, but also an exaggeration. Also I never liked yogourt as a child (we only had the small packaged flavoured yogourts) until I tried plain yogourt in my teens, and loved it, so I'm a little envious of all the kids in French schools!
I can totally relate to the awkwardness of journal-addressing. I used to be better at it in my teens/early twenties but somehow keep finding excuses for not doing it anymore, the latest of which is that I need to get a new pen! I might give 'electronic journaling' a shot. Pilates and swimming are also two of my favorite exercises! But, sadly, not doable in my current stage of life. I am moderately content with following pilate-esque videos in my living room and going on walks around my apartment complex, better than nothing.
That is lovely that you've found exercise that works well for you! I tried quite a few different things before realizing that I wanted something I could do at home, but not be in charge of. I found the TrainWell app through an ADHD YouTuber and have stuck with it (and my wonderful coach) for almost a year now. 🎉
See, I have never been able to make myself exercise at home. I just cannot/will not do it. But I have friends who love following yoga videos and such at home!
Same, actually. The difference with this app for me is that my trainer holds me accountable, and there's a streak system when you maintain your routine. Makes all the difference for me!

Thanks for the mention! (And yes to Emily Wilson's absolutely amazing work on all fronts.)

Well, a good pen IS important, it's horrible writing with the wrong pen! So I support your pen needs ;)
